Registration Policy

Registration Policy

You must register and create an account.

You cannot buy or purchase any vehicle without first registering and creating your Buyer Account. As part of the registration process, you must agree to our Buyer Terms and Conditions.

You must keep your contact information updated.

We sometimes need to contact you regarding your account and you’re buying or purchasing activity, so it is important that you keep your account information accurate and updated. You can update your contact information via your My Account page. --

You must pay for any vehicle you commit to buying.

If you submit a buy in an Inventory, you are making an unbreakable offer to enter a binding contract to buy that vehicle from us if your buy is accepted. The same is true if you choose "Buy it Now".

If you fail to complete your purchase for any reason, we may cancel your transaction and you may be subject to additional fees and charges. In other words, if you do not intend to purchase the vehicle, do not place a buy.

You must notify us of any problems before the vehicle leaves the Copart facility.

If you (or your agent or representative) identify any issue or problem with your vehicle or if the vehicle does not match the Inventory listing, you must notify us before the vehicle leaves the Copart facility (or other location where your vehicle is awaiting pick up). Once your vehicle leaves the Copart facility (or other location where your vehicle is awaiting pickup), you accept your vehicle "AS IS" and "WHERE IS" and "WITH ALL FAULTS".

You must be eligible to register.

By registering to create a Buyer Account, you represent and confirm that: (a) you are at least 18 years of age; (b) you can enter a legally binding contract; and (c) you have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into and comply with our Buyer Terms and Conditions.

You must provide accurate account information.

At the time of registration, you must provide accurate and complete account information (including name, address, and telephone number) and must maintain a valid email address. You must also provide a copy of your driver’s license, passport, or another government-issued form of identification. You must not provide false or invalid contact information. You also agree to update your account information via your My Account page as needed to keep it accurate and complete. You are solely responsible for any liabilities, losses, or other issues caused by your failure to update your account information.

Please see our Privacy Policy for more information on how we collect, use, process, and share your data.

You agree that we may contact you.

We sometimes need to contact you regarding your account, your buying, or purchasing activity, so you agree that we may contact you using the contact information you provide at registration.

- By providing a telephone number during registration, you agree to receive calls from us

- If the telephone number provided is a mobile number, you agree to receive SMS or other text messages (standard minute and text charges may apply)

- By providing a valid email address during registration, you agree to receive emails from us and that all notices or communications sent to you via email satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

You must upload a copy of your valid photo ID to activate your Buyer Account.

Before you are allowed to buy or purchase a vehicle using our Services, you must upload a copy of your valid driver's license, passport, or other government-issued photo ID.

You must use an approved transporter to pick up your vehicle.

No vehicle may be driven away from the Copart facility (or other location where your vehicle is awaiting pick up). Unless the vehicle you purchased is in the same state as your address in our buyer’s records, you must arrange for your vehicle to be picked up (or otherwise removed) from the Copart facility (or other location where your vehicle is awaiting pickup) by an approved transporter. If the vehicle you purchase is located in the same state as your address in our buyers’ records, you will be automatically enrolled in US Auto Export Home Delivery. With US Auto Export Home Delivery, US Auto Exporter an US Auto Export affiliated entity will deliver the purchase to you, for an additional fee. All purchases from in-state Inventory require US Auto Export Home Delivery.

We reserve the right not to release any vehicle to you.

You agree that we have no duty to release any vehicle to you (or the shipping company) if you have an unpaid account balance (including without limitation vehicle purchase price, Buyer ship Fees, Inventory Fees, Storage Fees, Late Fees, Relist Fees, and other applicable fees related to this vehicle or otherwise) or are otherwise in violation of our Buyer Terms and Conditions.

You agree that we may provide your Buyer Account information to service providers.

We can help you arrange for the transport and delivery of your vehicle to your destination by connecting you with our recommended third-party service providers. You agree that we may provide your Buyer Account information (including without limitation your contact information) to any third-party service provider to which we may refer you for shipping, transportation, or logistical services. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information on how you can manage your data and communication preferences.

Separate Rules Governing International Sales and Transportation.

Ownership of the automobile which you have successfully buy or acquired through us does not transfer until arrival of your automobile at the international port of delivery. You are responsible for the transfer of ownership of your vehicle (including without limitation registration in your name, if applicable) and hereby release us from and agree to defend and indemnify us against any related liability, damages and losses. Please review our general release and indemnity provisions in our Buyer Terms and Conditions for more information.

The Storage Fee charge is incurred if buyers do not promptly remove a vehicle from the Copart. No buyer may pick up a vehicle directly from any Inventory yard. You do assume responsibility for picking up the vehicle from the international port of delivery.

The “Sale Date” for any vehicle you purchase is the date on which you take possession of the vehicle at the international port of delivery. The “Sales Date” is not the date on which your vehicle is picked up by the transporter for delivery to you but instead, the date of arrival of the automobile at the International port of delivery.

Once your vehicle arrives at the international port of delivery, you accept the vehicle “AS IS” and “WHERE IS” and “WITH ALL FAULTS.” Please review our general release and indemnity provisions in our Buyer Terms and Conditions for more information.
